Safe, Structured Living
A clean, substance-free home with clear house expectations, curfews, and supportive routines that protect early recovery.
Programs
Compatior provides Recovery Bridge Housing (RBH) for adult men ages 18 and older who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability and are participating in eligible Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment services through the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC).
Recovery Bridge Housing provides a safe, supportive, substance-free living environment that helps participants remain engaged in treatment while working toward recovery and greater stability. RBH is a recovery support service and is not a residential SUD treatment program. Participants receive their clinical SUD treatment through an eligible treatment program while residing in the recovery housing environment.
The purpose of RBH is to reduce housing-related barriers that can interfere with treatment and recovery. Participants are provided with temporary housing while they continue working toward their individualized treatment and recovery goals.
The recovery environment promotes sobriety, personal responsibility, healthy routines, peer support, treatment participation, and development of independent living skills. Participants are expected to remain actively engaged in their SUD treatment program and comply with applicable program and housing requirements.
Compatior works with participants and their treatment teams to support successful transitions from RBH into stable community living. Depending on individual needs, participants may be connected with care coordination, case management, healthcare, mental health services, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), employment and workforce resources, education, benefits, transportation resources, recovery support, and housing navigation services.
Housing planning begins during the participant's stay so that RBH serves as a bridge—not a permanent housing destination. Participants are encouraged to work toward employment, education, benefits, permanent or supportive housing, and other goals that strengthen long-term stability.
Eligibility is determined in accordance with Los Angeles County SAPC requirements and individual circumstances. Generally, RBH is intended to support adults who are 18 years of age or older, experiencing homelessness or housing instability, and participating in an eligible SUD treatment program. Admission and continued participation are subject to SAPC eligibility requirements, program availability, and applicable authorization.
